Fashions on the Field: Categories and prizes TBC Caloundra Cup Carnival which began back on Opening Day - 25 July 1985, is the Sunshine Coast Turf Club’s major racing event of the year, this year boasting $925,000 in prizemoney. The first day of the carnival will see the running of the $200,000 Caloundra Cup 2400m, $175,000 Reed Property Group Glasshouse Handicap 1400m, the $100,000 XXXX Sunshine Coast Guineas 1600m as well as a further five races scheduled on the day with prizemoney totalling on the day $785,000. Punters can expect full fields with high class horses and the best jockeys from around Australia, bringing competitive racing to one of the most valued racetracks in Australia. With roving entertainment and fashions on the field this day will be a day not to be missed. The Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday 4th July 2010 Admission: $10 Adults, $5 concessions Kids under 18 FREE Gates open 10.30am FREE Entertainment: Wobbly Jellys Kids band and an interactive Disney jumping castle have been organised for the day.
